I have noticed all the jokes that the USA seems to be making of the ipad name, in relation to feminine hygiene products.  Just to let you know the rest of the world doesn't use that name for such things. Asking a few women here about the name ipad, they said it was just fine, and "only a yank" would think thats rude I guess. So the rest of the world doesn't have a problem with it, just the USA it would seem.

Its like the word Fanny, which in Australia is EXTREMELY rude ( Its like saying that naughty C word), and NO person would use that word here,  but in the USA it means your bum and is acceptable for people to use every day!? Amazing! There are many more examples of words we dont find rude but USA does.

Yeah, a fanny is something you dust off on a toddler after they fall down at the playground.

For me the iPad seems like a poor choice, not because of any feminine hygiene products, but because of the poor Tech Support people who are going to have to ask, "Did you say iPod, or iPad?" 50x a day for the next 5-10 years. 

And on the topic of disliking the same thing as other people but for different reasons: Starbucks.  I don't mind the attempt to create atmosphere in a chain store for people to sit and relax.  But I do mind that their coffee tastes like someone threw a charcoal briquette into the pot.

...iTablet would have been better.  It would have shortened nicely into iTab.
