Uh oh. There's a problem. The LTE is the 2nd longest thread ever... That's not right.

Time for the 3rd letter game.
Rules: Post a word whose first letter is the 3rd letter of the previous posters word.
Eg.: 1st post = turtle; 2nd post = rosebud; 3rd post = salmonella etc...

I'll start with: salmonella
Mmm... Salmon...

I think it was in February when I found Mac OS Ken too. I unfortunately never had a chance to hear the very beginning of the show. One thing is for sure though, the early episodes sound totally different from the newer ones. It's like a trip down memory lane.

I kinda wish I could hear how it all started, after IMR...

I used to randomly keep back-episodes of Mac OS Ken in my iTunes sometimes, and I had some all the way back to 2006, but when I accidentally trashed my iTunes library a few years ago, I lost those. Now I only have a few from back in 2008 :p

There are a few that stick out in my head, like the first one (and anniversary ones after that) in which God tells Ken to do a podcast, episode 99 with the thing before the intro song, the one where some guy uttering "cowboy" keeps interrupting Ken doing the intro, and of course the Friday ones where Ken and Laura Burstein would indirectly argue over whether her segment was called the "Mac Hottie Moment" or "Mac Haughty Moment" lol... I guess the show has changed somewhat since then...

Also, a few months after Mac OS Ken launched I was curious about what the IMR ones were like and at the time I was able to find a site that had cached the episodes with Ken in them. Sadly, they're long gone, but I *THINK* if you look hard enough you *MIGHT* be able to find a few episodes cached on the Web Archive.

Oh, and my word is 'llama'.

UPDATE: I think I really broke the rules, posting this under the "Not About the Show" category. Anyway, I was Googling in odd nostalgia and found all of the episodes from March 2006 on!: http://www.podcastdirectory.com/podcasts/archive.php?iid=12888

For example, here's one of the ones I was talking about above, lol: http://cdn2.libsyn.com/macosken/macosken060303.mp3?nvb=20100222011707&nva=20100223012707&t=0b872f4796b855bc8ff22
I was listening to that show, and wow... I suddenly remember that whole... "It's Rob Black... AND YOUR MONEY!" thing, and the whole "Macsimum News & Apple Groups Team" thing... Buttons aren't toys, buttons aren't toys! CHOW...

I just got onto these forums today, but I've been listening to Ken's news since it was part of The Show That Shall Not Be Named.  Said show was quickly dropped from my listening queue when Mac OS Ken debuted.

I've been a Mac user since '86, and an Mac owner since '88.  I also write a tech blog focused on the most useful products the industry has to offer.  The curious can find that at The Nifty Tech Blog.

This thread is quite old now, but I'd thought I'd contribute.

Hello. I'm from Loughborough, in the UK. I have been a Mac user since Christmas 2009 (I got my MacBook for Christmas) and I currently own a 13" MacBook '09 model and a 2nd generation iPod Shuffle. I now love Macs and listen to loads of Mac and tech podcasts, including this one which is brilliant!

I'll refresh this a bit.

I'm Kevin, about to move from Columbus GA to Austin TX.  I've had Macs since 1985, never owned a Windows machine.

My wife just asked what I was doing, and I told her, "Syncing my iThings..."
