With about a week-and-a-half since the last news roundup, it seemed we’d come back to Apple having hit a market cap of $3T. That did not happen, though it got wicked close.
Monday 27 December, MacDailyNews ran a piece saying that Apple had hit new intraday and closing highs. Shares started the last week of the year on a tear. They got as high as $180.40 before giving back the tiniest amount, closing at $180.29. That gave Apple a market value of $2.959 trillion.
A week later, shares are beginning a bit lower - Apple starts the first week of 2022 at $177.57 and a market cap of $2.91T.
