Apple Cumberland Mall Organizers Say Union Vote Postponed, Not Cancelled
06 JUNE 2022 - Something of a clarification from Apple Cumberland Mall employees in Atlanta. They were supposed to have held a vote on unionization last week, though headed into the week that vote was cancelled. Except, not cancelled - and therein lies the clarification. A piece from The Mac Observer has organizers at the store pushing back on a Bloomberg article that said the vote was cancelled. Taking to Twitter, organizers said that the vote was not “cancelled” but postponed. “And it wasn’t out-of-the-blue,” said the message, adding, “it was due to intense union-busting from Apple. Details matter.”
