Apple Music Adds DJ Mixes in Spatial Audio

Engadget says Cupertino’s audio streamer has added DJ mixes in Dolby Atmos spatial audio, promising “a more immersive dance music experience…” The piece says the initiative kicked off last week “with a One Mix set from Detroit’s Jeff Mills, “as well as 15 Boiler Room sets from stars like Boys Noize and The Blessed Madonna.” Engadget reminds readers:

Spatial audio is only automatically enabled for AirPods and some Beats headphones. You can use capable third-party gear, but you'll need to manually enable support and forego head tracking.
