Apple Music Live(ish) to Feature Mary J. Blige
01 JULY 2022 - Apple Music Live performances are starting to look like a monthly thing. In May, Harry Styles kicked off the streaming service’s live performances. Just this week rapper Lil Durk continued the shows. Now, a piece from iMore says the music streaming service will do it again in July - this time with Mary J. Blige. Apple Music made the announcement Thursday on Twitter, saying, “Queen of Hip-Hop Soul @maryjblige takes #AppleMusicLive to NYC for one night only at the historic United Palace.”
While Apple Music subscribers will be able to watch the show, they won’t be able to watch it live, despite the word “live” right in the Tweet. According to iMore, Blige “will play a live show on July 13, and New York residents can apply to get free tickets…” Apple Music subscribers who can’t make the gig will be able to stream the show beginning 27 July.
