Judge Tosses Proposed iCloud Class Action Suit
11 MAY 2022 - Apple’s got one less court case with which to deal. Bloomberg Law says a federal court in California has tossed a proposed class action suit against the company over iCloud storage. According to the report, plaintiffs alleged:
…Apple deceives consumers into thinking they can maintain their data storage for free, but in reality they quickly exceed the free 5GB limit and then must pay for an increasingly costly service.
Bloomberg Law had the court indicating that:
…the customers failed to adequately explain how the company’s recurring charge notification was deficient or how they were fooled.
It’s the little things, isn’t it?
Plaintiffs “may amend their complaint,” according to the report. Barring that, the case is dunzo.
