Mars or Bust for “For All Mankind”
Season Three Premiers 10 June
12 APRIL 2022 - I have not watched the first two seasons of “For All Mankind.” I’m tempted to say I have not watched them yet, but I’ve had a couple of years and still haven’t, so who knows.
Even in fiction, I know an organization like NASA moves slowly and doesn’t usually spring surprises on people, so maybe it’s not a spoiler to say season three is taking the show to Mars. Because it is. Apple TV+ issued a press release Monday, announcing a premier date for the alt-history series and news of the new destination. According to the release:
The propulsive new season of the alternate-reality series takes viewers to a new decade, moving into the early ’90s with a high-octane race to a new planetary frontier: Mars. The Red Planet becomes the new front in the space race not only for the US and the Soviet Union, but also an unexpected new entrant with a lot to prove and even more at stake.
The first two seasons of the show are available to view now on Apple TV+. Episode one of season three is set to land on Friday 10 June, with the full 10-episode season playing out one per week after that. The Cupertino-streamer also released a video that’s not so much a trailer as it is a teaser. You can check that out now below.
