Steve Jobs to Posthumously Receive Presidential Medal of Freedom
06 JULY 2022 - The Presidential Medal of Freedom is set to be handed out tomorrow - Thursday 7 July, and Apple co-founder Steve Jobs will be a recipient.

According to the White House press release:
The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the Nation’s highest civilian honor, presented to individuals who have made exemplary contributions to the prosperity, values, or security of the United States, world peace, or other significant societal, public or private endeavors.
The medal will be awarded to 17 people this week. Among the recipients are Olympian and advocate Simone Biles, former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, gold star father Khizr Khan, former U.S. senator John McCain (yes, they know), Denzel Washington, and Steve Jobs. Of Apple’s former CEO, the White House says:
His vision, imagination and creativity led to inventions that have, and continue to, change the way the world communicates, as well as transforming the computer, music, film and wireless industries.
Though the press release does not mention where people can view the ceremony, one imagines it’ll be available (live or later) on the White House YouTube channel.
